SELECTED WORK
SERVICES
Garden design services for commercial spaces, residential developments or individual homes; located nationally or internationally in new construction sites or for renovation on existing projects.
Kindly note that we provide design services. Hence, for the construction phase of your garden, we can work with your preferred contractor or get you in contact with independent contractors best suited for the challenges of your project. We will carry on site meetings and provide all necessary project documentation for an accurate quote and a successful construction phase.
Here are the two main garden design services provided:
1. PLANTING CONSULTATION
This type of service is an assesment of your current garden with the aim of improving the planting scheme to create strong and beautiful compositions. It focuses on the phases of: exploration, design cost, planting plan and contractor meeting.
It is ideal for clients who want to give a lift to their gardens, those looking to design their apartment terraces or even residential developments in which all planters and paths have been designed and the remaining elements to define are the plants.
2. COMPREHENSIVE GARDEN DESIGN PROJECT
This type of service is aimed towards new construction or renovation projects in which both: hardscape and landscape design elements are involved. It is a lot more extensive and it encompasses all the design stages shown below.
PROCESS
1. Exploration
This is a consultation meeting to discuss what you want from your garden. We will thoroughly debate your vision, examine the project space and guide you answering an in-depth creative brief. The consultation meeting can last anywhere between 1.5 to 3 hours.
2. Design Cost
After the consultation meeting, a report containing the design fee will be sent to you for transparency and clarity.
If you decide to hire us, we can proceed to the next phase.
3. Site Survey
In order to produce an accurate design plan, it is necessary to have a proper site survey with exact dimensions and limits of your property. If you do not have one up to date, we can arrange for an independent surveyor, or do it ourselves, depending on the size of the plot.
4. General Proposal
This is the delivery of the first plan containing the general design proposal for your garden. Your feedback in this phase is highly critical to make sure the landscape proposal is perfectly tailored to you.
5. Outline Plan
Detailed plans will be produced so you can easily visualize how your finished garden will look. Depending on the scope of the project, perspective drawings and sketches might be included.
6. Planting Plan
This is a master plan that plots the placement of every plant within the garden. Each plant variety is carefully selected to create delightful compositions that suit the soil and aspects of your space.
7. Construction Details
Upon approval of the final garden design and plant scheme, all working documents that detail how the garden will be constructed are prepared. These will include: irrigation and lighting plans, when needed.
8. Contractor Meeting
In this meeting, all detailed construction plans will be discussed and effectively delivered to the chosen
contractor to start the construction of your beautiful new garden. We will be available to answer any questions that might arise during the construction process.
Proper maintenance of your garden is key for its growth and beauty so that year after year it continues to grow stronger. Upon request, we can get you in touch with maintenance companies that best suit your new garden´s needs.
9. Maintenance
Keep in mind that each project is different and unique. Therefore, the time to complete a garden can range from a couple of weeks, for small spaces such as terraces , patios , balconies and small gardens, to even months in the case of bigger properties. Times will vary depending upon scale, complexity, client´s personal taste and project location.
